Who receives it. Orms Print Room (printing and packing orders, under a written operator agreement), Payfast (payments), The Courier Guy and TUNL with its carriers (deliveries), Cloudflare (website hosting and storage), email service (sending emails), the CC's accountant, and SARS or other authorities where the law requires.
Outside South Africa. Cloudflare and email service, if foreign may store or process information outside South Africa under contract terms that protect it. For international orders, the delivery details go to the carrier and customs in the buyer's country, which is needed to deliver.
Security. Records are kept in password-protected accounts and a private database that only the member can open. The website is encrypted. Card details are handled only by Payfast. Suppliers get only what they need for the task.
8. How to request a record
- Fill in the request form (Form 2 of the PAIA Regulations, 2021), available from the Information Regulator's website or from the Information Officer.
- Send it to the Information Officer by email or post, at the details in section 2.
- Say which record you want, how you want to receive it, and, if you are asking for someone else's information or a record not about you, which of your rights the record is needed for.
- A request fee may apply, as set in the PAIA Regulations (amount: check the current Regulations). There is no fee to ask for your own personal information. If access is granted, an access fee may also apply for copying and postage, and you'll be told the amount first.
You will get a decision within 30 days. That can be extended once by up to 30 days, and you'll be told why.
A request may be refused only on the grounds in Part 3, Chapter 4 of PAIA, for example to protect another person's privacy, commercial information of a third party, or confidential information. If it is refused, you'll be told why.
9. If you disagree with a decision
You can complain to the Information Regulator, or apply to court, within 180 days of the decision. Contact details for the Regulator are on inforegulator.org.za.
